Pepe (Philipe) and Hina arrived in L.A. from Tahiti a week before Eve and Rory's wedding. Ameri had to travel that weekend so Charley and I were able to spend the weekend with them. We did a great job with no translator around! (All due to Pepe and Hina's English of course, not my French!)
Charley instantly clicked with "Papa" and they had a fabulous weekend together! I do think that Charley wore them out just a little bit!!

Tahoe on fire? No problem!

We had great plans to go to Tahoe this year and spend a week with Ameri's family, but about 4 days into our vacation with my family we learned that Tahoe was on fire and that our second week of vacation was, shall we say, "Up in smoke"? Terrible.
We decided that we would spend the extra week in Utah and spend the time with our families and get caught up on visiting with old friends. We were fortunate enough to see the Tinlings, the Krebs, the Moores, the Ruekerts and the Leavitts. It was time well spent!

Grandpa Allen's 7/7/07 65th birthday!

Grandpa Allen turned 65 on 7/7/07 this year!! It was perfect timing as all of us were in town to celebrate with him. Lizzie and Grandpa have birthdays very close together so the two of them were able to have a great big birthday bash that included a pinata, pizza and cake. Everyone was well fed and well "sugared" by the end of the night!

On the David family front, Eve and Rory FINALLY got engaged on 7/7/07! Way to go Rory!!

Family Reunion 2007

Kristi's family got together in June and we finally got to go on a water-skiing/camping family reunion vacation!! (There's a mouthful!) Everyone's idea of "camping" was just a little bit different! We all had a great time and just had fun being together. It was nice to have Travis around as his army deployments have kept him from joining us in the past. Sadly, Rod couldn't be there this year because of his own duties in the Air Force. We missed you out there Rod and we hope that we get to see you next year!
