My mom and dad came into town in March and we collectively played "hooky"
from our responsibilities. How could we resist? My sister Jennie flew all the way from Tennessee with her daughter Katie just to play. Ameri's sister Diane was also in town. She is going back to France soon so we had to have one last hurrah before she leaves.
We decided to go to Universal Studios for the day and go crazy. We felt it was meant to be when we parked in the "Curious George" parking structure! The day was a lot of fun and we got to see great-grandma 'Nece go on the mummy and dinosaur rides! She's so cool.
The kids were troopers though King Kong, Jaws, War of the Worlds and lots of fire and noise. We celebrated the day with tradition and ate taquitos to our hearts content on Olvera Street in L.A.
