So I thought I should give everyone an update on my health status - whether you are interested or not!
1. My brain MRI is clean and clear. My pituitary gland is just peachy!
2. My thyroid levels are normal (though I am not)
3. My prolactin levels are still quite high and the main cause of my problems. Quite treatable with a little drug called "Cabergoline".
4. I have quite the vitamin D deficiency. Who knew? I live in sunny Cali for Heaven's sake! I guess it's quite common and it could be one of the major factors in my small bout with depression. Again, very treatable.
5. I am still 20lbs. overweight. This is a tangent. It has nothing to do with my other "health problems" but I thought I would put it out there for the world to see so that I might get motivated to put my own profession to work for me. Having 2 children is partly to blame, but moving, changing jobs (both Ameri and I), losing my free membership at a swanky gym by quitting, traveling a lot and just plain discombobulation this year has given me a SWEET muffin top. Just so you know. I will not post pictures of it.
6. I get BRACES on Tuesday. My lovely cross-bite has done the worst it's going to do and now I am taking care of it. Pretty smile here I come. I WILL post pictures of my metal tracks after they've been lain. Woo-hoo! OUCH.
Here's my BIG tangent. I am tired of people saying that they are proud to be an American AGAIN! Why should your president dictate whether you are proud to be an American? Don't these people know what they have in this country??? Have they sat down and thought about what exactly they're saying?
Our country's had a couple of hard years, I'll give them that, but even in times of war - whether you support it or not - we still have one of the most incredible places to live on Earth. Our government has flaws, but I'd take it over any other government in the world. Aren't they proud of the very democratic system that lets us "take turns" if you will, in letting our voices be heard? Majority dictates who our president will be, but we are allowed to CHANGE OUR MINDS and vote differently the next should we so choose. I'm tired to death of people blaming one man for all of our countries problems. Grow up people.
I am proud to be an American. I always have been. I have a husband who is not an American citizen, but plans on becoming one someday. The process to become such is not cheap and it is not painless. Yet he still wants to do it and he loves this country too. I love this country because it allows us to be what we want to be, it allows us to worship as we may and it allows us other freedoms so many people have never and will never enjoy.
Here's to patriotism . . . and tangents.

I'm proud too...thanks for tangents!
Amen my sista! Your forever muffin- (well heck let's say cake-) topped friend... :)
Very well said!
All on your list is very interesting. I wonder how my vitamin D level is right now? Especially since I don't live in sunny So. Cal.
MMMM I love muffin tops. The rest of the muffin, lets be honest, is less than desirable, so you have the best part. Just thought you should know.
we are muffin top sistas! the cheeky meekies has a good point! the muffin top is the best part, by far, of the muffin! love the positive spin!
may we both be motivated to ditch the muffin top!
